This whole post mainly focuses on this book. (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0975599518/102-3986632-1777700?v=glance)

I watched the advetisment of this book and Ive read some part of it. (I work in a store and we have the book on sale so sometimes I read it on my free time)

Anyways the thing I noticed most about this book is the fact that it says "Over 3 million copies sold" That struct me intresting becuase this book sells for about 20.00 $.

And the whole idea of the book is how people are tricked by the medical companies and the drug companies and how people are losing money because of this.

Well lets calculate something here, 3 million of those books at 20.00 $ each = 60 million $. Now if this guy is so great and cares about the people so much why does he profit so much from this. Sure he doesnt get all of that money but I bet he goes on shows and has comercials that give him even more cash in his pocket.

I do agree that some drug companies might profit from the public but COME ON, all drug companies are cheats and crooks? I think thats a little stupid.

I am just tired of this guy and I think hes a little too paranoid.

I'll come back with a proper response later, as I don't have much time just now.

I will, however, point out this thread (http://www.platinumgeneration.net/forums/showthread.php?t=10940) that states a lot of my thoughts, as well as a few truths about the Medical industry. Yes, we've been getting scammed for years, especially those of us who are dependant on medicines.

Kevin Trudeau is an absolute fucking hack. If you've ever watched any part of any infomercial, you've seen this guy. He has been the paid spokesperson for "Mega Memory System", "Addiction Breaking System", "Hair Farming", and others. In fact, as of September 2004, Trudeau is banned from doing television infomercials, and he's been under investigation from the FTC for quite some time.

People like Kevin Trudeau make up what amounts to the rotten core of the television and book industry. Trudeau is an utter scam artist who has used his charisma and speaking ability to steal money from thousands of people. As you can see from the variety of things that he has championed, there is no method to his madness- it's all greed.

Also, offering "natural cures" to diseases such as cancer, in which the person could have a real chance at beating the disease if they consult a physician, is extremely irresponsible and dangerous. Here's a possible situation: a woman just learns that she has cancer, and is distraught beyond belief, not only with the idea of having cancer but of paying the costs of treatment. Then she sees this book by Trudeau (not Dr. Trudeau) touting "natural cures" to cancer. What if she tries these bullshit cures instead of going with verified medication? But according to The Constitution, print is protected by the First Amendment, whereas television is not. Therefore, there is no way to prevent this guy from ruining lives. Ohh, and by the way, he's a felon. Trudeau was jailed for two years in the early nineties for credit card fraud. Ugh.

The lesson is, don't take what this fuck says at face value. There may be something true in what he is saying about the medicine industry, but he is the last person that you want to be getting your information from.

The Daily Show has done a piece on him (article (http://www.comedycentral.com/shows/the_daily_show/web_only/odd_stuff.jhtml?itemUrlAlias=odd_081705)), and here's another article (http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2004/09/trudeaucoral.htm) from the Federal Trade Commission website.
