Have u ever taken your gamesystem apart
Yes or No?
If Yes the explain why
I took my PS2 apart cause it got a lot of disc read errors. So then I found this place and this guy was talking about how to take your PS2 apart to make it work. So I did, it took me like 30 minutes and now it works. :D

Nope, I leave that to the pros cause I would probably mess up the system trying

Uhm, does a GBP count? I was bored and decided to open it up with this M.A.G.S. thing I had to try to make the mags play GB games (), ended up messing them both up, but I had a GBA so I wasn't worried.

I took apart my PS2 after the warranty was void because i also got disc read error signals, and the sound of a disc being scratched when i tried to play a disc. In fact, i have to buy a new copy of SSX Tricky because it got scratched...
Anyway it did nothing cleaning the lens, so i had to buy a new one at full price. But i bought thast PS2 like 3 or 4 years ago, so it's not that terrible.
I've learned one thing: even though hitting the PS2 may seem to work, in only mucks it up in the long run.
BTW, i did not try opening the PS2 on my own. I first got a lot of opinions on my situation then floowed a special precedure i found on the internet. You should never open the PS2 if your warranty is still good or you are going in blind.

I opened a N64. I had nothing better to do and I wonder what made a N64 tick (run) so I opened it up to have a look.

I've taken apart the PS2 and fixed it... done it three times now to three different systems. 100% success ratio.
I've taken apart more Xboxes than I can remember. When you are installing modchips, new hard-drives, etc.... you have to take them apart.
I don't see what everyone is afraid of, when it comes to taking them apart. It is just like working on a computer. Sure, you have to be careful, but you have to be careful with any electronic device. Taking apart a console game system is no different than taking apart a PC.
I haven't had the chance to take apart my Gamecube yet, but I will be soon enough... about to get a modchip for it as well.
Plus, I've taken apart the N64, original PS, Super Nintendo, and Sega Genesis.... modded every single system.

I modded my PSX... that's about it, though. I did open up my NES, but it was already broken.... fell off the table too many times. meh.
